Precision CNC Turning of Stainless Steel Bearing Housing for Food Processing Industry
At Solutions Manufacturing, Inc., we have the right mix of talent and technology to machine precision bearing housings for critical fit applications. Working with the customer drawing, we custom manufactured the housing highlighted here for a food processing application. Machined from 303 stainless steel, it provides for ease of machining while maintaining the corrosion resistant properties necessary for use in a food processing environment. The primary operations involved saw cutting, precision turning of both ID and OD, internal grooving, and drilling and tapping of internal threads.
When completed, the part measured 2.750" in diameter x 1.250" in length. Careful inspection of the bore diameter, outer diameter, inner snap ring groove placement, and outer ring width, ensured we satisfied the ultra-precise +/-.0003" dimensional tolerance requirements. We packaged each of the 100 units in this order according to the customer's guidelines to protect them during shipping to ensure that they arrived safely at their destination.
